Individual support for school absenteeism

In a context where school dropout remains a major challenge for our education system, we are pleased to present an innovative support offer.
It is aimed at children and young people in difficulties who need support tailored to their individual needs.

Our program addresses the root causes of academic "drifting away" and offers personalized and flexible support for:

  • Learning difficulties

  • emotional stress

  • lack of motivation, lack of self-confidence, or lack of organization

  • Conflicts in the social environment

  • the feeling of not fitting into the traditional school setting

We offer two forms of support, each lasting from 3 months to a school year.
(A one-month trial period is possible).

Option 1: Individual learning coaching – at home and/or online

The student is assigned a personal learning mentor who is specially trained to support young people in independent learning.

This method is particularly suitable for children and young people who need a flexible, appreciative framework that is geared towards their individual rhythms and interests.

The support includes:

  • Identifying and addressing individual blocks (e.g., lack of self-confidence, cognitive difficulties, lack of organization…)

  • Creation of a customized learning plan

  • Maintain a connection to the school curriculum while simultaneously promoting independence and motivation

Option 2: Partial integration into a private partner school

For students who would like to rediscover the joy of the dynamics of a learning group in a stimulating environment, we offer the opportunity to attend a private partner school on a part-time basis.

This alternative framework makes it possible to:

  • to pursue certain subjects in face-to-face classes in small groups – in an appreciative and inclusive atmosphere

  • to benefit from differentiated, individually tailored educational support

  • to rediscover the joy of learning – through active, practical and participatory approaches

The number of accompanying persons is limited.
This support offer is only available in conjunction with a medical certificate.

The two options can also be combined, depending on the needs of the families.
We are happy to advise affected families and help them find the most suitable solution for their child.

A personal meeting or a telephone conversation can be arranged at any time.

This text is written with all my gratitude and respect. It is also my personal testimony – completely authentic and true. As the author of this report, I have chosen to remain completely anonymous.

I am writing these words to tell what I have experienced, but above all, how one person has helped me profoundly.

During the 2024–2025 school year, I was fortunate to receive very personal support from Sophie Philipona while going through an extremely difficult time. I faced several challenges: depression, school anxiety, and physical and mental anorexia. Every single day was a huge hurdle for me when it came to going to school.

I spent most of my second year in the orientation cycle between hospitals and psychiatrists, desperately searching for a solution. Just when I was completely unable to return to school, Sophie came into my life.

She helped me in every way imaginable: She took the time to really get to know me and suggested various activities that helped me overcome blockages from my past. She then developed a tailor-made program based on my interests and the topics I really wanted to explore in depth.

To make it easier for me to get started, Sophie came directly to my home – this allowed me to avoid the stress of traveling. She adapted to my needs in every way to find the program that was a perfect fit for me and helped me rediscover the joy of working.

She helped me break free from the rigid public school system, where you are constantly bombarded with a flood of content, 80% of which you can never use – and the pressure that arises there is simply terrible.

Thanks to my experience with Sophie, I learned to understand very precisely what I need to achieve my goals, rediscover the joy of learning, and—most importantly—become healthy. Today, I am free from all my mental health issues and on my way to realizing my life goals.

All I can say is: Thank you, Sophie.
I wish that all people who are going through difficult times like me may find someone like Sophie.
